Job summary

Boyd Gaming Corporation in Louisiana is seeking a Groundskeeper to maintain landscaping and public areas across the property. The role involves performing regular grounds maintenance, operating lawn and irrigation equipment, and applying chemicals as required to keep exteriors well-presented.

Candidates should have a high school diploma (preferred) and at least one year of landscaping experience, with the ability to work outdoors in diverse weather.

Qualifications

• High school diploma is preferred.
• One (1) year of prior experience as a landscaper or groundskeeper preferred.
• Must possess basic knowledge of necessary equipment and the appropriatesafety standards.
• Must be able to perform duties in direct exposure to the weather which mayinclude periods of extreme heat, cold, or inclement weather.
• Must be able to obtain/maintain any necessary certifications and/or licenses.

Responsibilities

• Maintain landscaping and the surrounding public areas.
• Perform landscaping and grounds maintenance as prescribed or assigned.
• Install, repair, and perform periodic maintenance to sprinkler and irrigation systems.
• Safely and effectively operate lawn mower, weed trimmer, edger, chainsaw, power trimmer, and other equipment used in lawn and ground maintenance.
• Safely and properly apply chemicals including but not limited to fertilizers, herbicides, and pesticides.
• Plant grass, trees, flowers, and shrubs using gardening tools.
• Maintain driveways, parking lots, and walkways by removing debris, litter, snow and/or ice.
• Assist with basic maintenance to equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by management
