Role Description

The Landscaper role at U.S. Lawns is a full-time, on-site position based in Biloxi, MS. This role is responsible for performing daily landscape maintenance tasks such as mowing, edging, trimming, pruning, weeding, mulching, and general grounds cleanup on commercial properties. The Landscaper will assist with planting and maintaining trees, shrubs, and flowers, support seasonal color installations, and help implement basic landscape design plans as directed by supervisors. Duties also include monitoring and operating irrigation systems, performing minor repairs, and ensuring proper watering practices. The role requires following safety procedures, using landscape equipment properly, working efficiently in outdoor conditions across all seasons, and collaborating with crew members and supervisors to deliver consistent, high-quality results for clients.

Qualifications

• Demonstrated skills in Landscape Maintenance and Landscaping, including mowing, trimming, pruning, and grounds cleanup.
• Experience or aptitude in Gardening and Landscape Design, including planting, mulching, and maintaining shrubs, trees, and seasonal flowers.
• Knowledge of Irrigation systems, with the ability to monitor, adjust, and perform basic troubleshooting and repairs.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks such as lifting, bending, and extended standing.
• Strong attention to detail, reliability, and commitment to safety standards and proper equipment use.
• Effective teamwork and communication skills, with the ability to follow directions and support crew leaders and supervisors.
• Previous commercial landscaping or groundskeeping experience is preferred but not required; willingness to learn and receive training is essential.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation to the Biloxi, MS worksite are highly beneficial.
