Job summary

Steadfast Alliance in San Antonio, FL is seeking a reliable Landscape Transport Driver with a valid CDL to support our landscaping operations in San Antonio, FL and surrounding areas.

You will safely transport trees, plants, landscaping materials, equipment, and debris to commercial and residential landscape projects, ensuring on-time delivery and proper handling. The role requires outdoor work, careful loading and unloading, and strict adherence to safety procedures.

Qualifications

• Valid Commercial Driver’s License (CDL) appropriate for the vehicles operated.
• Previous experience driving commercial trucks, dump trucks, trailers, or landscape/construction vehicles preferred.
• Experience transporting trees, plants, nursery stock, or landscaping materials is a plus.
• Ability to safely load, secure, transport, and unload large trees, plants, equipment, and landscape materials.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliable attendance and strong work ethic.
• Ability to follow written and verbal instructions.

Responsibilities

• Nursery loading and plant transportation to projects.
• Secure trees and plants to prevent damage during loading, transportation, and unloading.
• Verify plant quantities, sizes, varieties, and materials against project orders before leaving the nursery.
• Coordinate loading, delivery timing with nursery staff and landscape project supervisors.
• Safely unload and position plant material on project sites.
• Operate CDL trucks and trailers safely.
• Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections.
• Maintain delivery and vehicle records.
• Follow DOT/state safety regulations.
• Assist landscape crews with loading/unloading when needed.

Compensation: $23–$28 perhour, based on CDL class, experience, and qualifications

Position Summary

Steadfast Alliance is seeking a reliable and safety-focused LandscapeTransport Driver with a valid CDL to support our landscaping operations inSan Antonio, FL and surrounding areas. The driver will safely transport trees,plants, landscaping materials, equipment, and debris from our nursery andsuppliers to commercial and residential landscape projects and other jobsites.

This position plays an important role in ensuring that ourlandscape crews receive the correct plant material, trees, equipment, andsupplies safely and on schedule. The ideal candidate is dependable, experiencedwith commercial vehicles and trailers, comfortable working outdoors, andcommitted to safe handling of plant material and equipment.

Key Responsibilities

Nursery Loading & Plant Transportation

• Load trees,shrubs, plants, palms, sod, and other plant material from theSteadfast Alliance nursery for delivery to commercial and residentiallandscape projects.
• Carefullyhandle and secure trees and plants to prevent damage during loading,transportation, and unloading.
• Verifyplant quantities, sizes, varieties, and materials against project ordelivery requirements before leaving the nursery.
• Properlysecure trees, plants, root balls, containers, and other landscapematerials for safe transportation.
• Transportnursery materials and plant material safely to commercial andresidential landscape projects, job sites, and other designatedlocations.
• Coordinatewith nursery personnel and landscape project supervisors regardingloading, delivery timing, and job-site requirements.
• Safelyunload trees and plants at project locations in coordination withlandscape crews.
• Helpposition plant material in designated areas of the job site to supportefficient installation.
• Inspecttrees and plants during loading and unloading and report any damage orissues to the appropriate supervisor.
• Maintainproper care and handling procedures for live plant material duringtransportation.

Landscape Transportation & Job-Site Support

• Safelyoperate CDL-required trucks, trailers, and other commercial vehicles.
• Transportlandscaping materials such as mulch, soil, gravel, rock, irrigationmaterials, and other supplies.
• Hauland deliver landscape equipment, tools, trailers, and job-site materialsto commercial and residential projects.
• Transportlandscape debris and waste to approved disposal facilities.
• Load,secure, transport, and unload equipment and materials according to companysafety procedures.
• Performpre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections and report mechanical or safetyconcerns.
• Maintainaccurate delivery, mileage, fuel, and vehicle inspection records.
• Followall applicable DOT, state, and company safety regulations.
• Communicateeffectively with nursery staff, landscape crews, project managers,supervisors, suppliers, and customers.
• Followassigned delivery routes and schedules and complete pickups and deliveriesin a timely manner.
• Assistlandscape crews with loading, unloading, and basic job-site tasks whenneeded.
• Keeptrucks, trailers, and transportation equipment clean, organized, and insafe operating condition.
• Performother transportation and landscape-support duties as assigned.

Qualifications

• Abilityto lift, carry, load, and unload materials and equipment as required.
• Abilityto work outdoors in varying weather conditions.
• Reliableattendance and strong work ethic.
• Abilityto follow written and verbal instructions.
• Strongcommitment to workplace and road safety.

Preferred Qualifications

• Experiencein landscaping, nursery operations, landscape construction, or relatedindustries.
• Experiencetowing and maneuvering equipment trailers.
• Familiaritywith local roads and commercial and residential landscape projects inPasco County and surrounding areas.
• Basicknowledge of trees, plants, landscape materials, and equipment.
• Experiencewith safe handling and transportation of large trees and nursery stock.
• DOTmedical certification, if required for the position and vehicle operated.

Physical Requirements

• Abilityto sit and operate a commercial vehicle for extended periods.
• Abilityto frequently bend, stoop, climb, reach, and walk on uneven terrain.
• Abilityto lift and carry materials weighing 50 pounds or more as required.
• Abilityto assist with loading and unloading trees, plants, equipment, andlandscape materials.
• Abilityto work outdoors in heat, rain, and other weather conditions.
