Shelter Insurance Companies is seeking a Landscape Technician Team Lead in Missouri to supervise lawn care on Shelter’s campus and lead the grounds crew. You will supervise fertilizers and chemical applications, train new staff, and coordinate equipment with the Grounds Superintendent on a range of projects.

The ideal candidate lifts up to 50 pounds, operates all grounds equipment, and holds a valid driver\'s license. A strong knowledge of horticulture and turf management is essential.

Qualifications

• Ability to lead the team and train others.
• Ability to maintain schedules and work with others.
• Ability to repair minor irrigation problems.
• Ability to repair water features.
• Ability to operate all grounds maintenance equipment.
• Knowledge in spraying for fertilizers, herbicides, insecticides and fungicides.
• Must be able to lift up to 50 pounds and bend/kneel.
• Must have a valid driver\'s license.
• Knowledge in horticulture, floriculture, arboriculture and turf management.
• Report growing conditions to Superintendent of Grounds.

Responsabilités

• Lead grounds projects on Shelter’s campus.
• Oversee fertilizers and chemical applications to lawn and garden areas.
• Provide leadership and training to new employees.
• Coordinate equipment needs with the Landscape Technician Mechanic and Superintendent of Grounds.
• Assist/lead grounds maintenance and snow removal as needed.
• Lead landscape construction projects to completion.
• Oversee projects and staff in the absence of the Superintendent of Grounds.
• Motor Vehicle Report may be ordered on final candidates.
