Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company in Solon, OH is seeking a Landscape Trainee to join our outdoor team. You will learn to plant, trim, mow, weed, and mulch while supporting landscape maintenance for private, governmental, and business sites.

You will receive hands-on instruction in turf and shrub health, communicate with management and clients, and gain experience with equipment operation and safety practices as part of our career development program.

Qualifications

• Love of the outdoors.
• Background in Forestry, Horticulture, or Landscaping preferred.
• Turf, Weed, Tree and shrub ID, Pathology knowledge preferred.
• Complete Davey Landscape career development books upon hire.
• Complete Davey Tree First Aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Class A or B with Airbrake Endorsement preferred.
• Relevant pesticide licenses if required by state law.
