Kansas State University is seeking a Grounds Maintenance Equipment Operator to operate a wide variety of medium and small equipment for grounds tasks and assist in general campus maintenance on-site.
The role requires a valid driver’s license, strong safety practices, and the ability to communicate effectively. On-site position with responsibilities spanning turf, shrubs, trees, and seasonal beds, supporting a safe, functional campus environment.
This position exists to provide operation of a wide variety of medium and small sized equipment for completion of grounds tasks and assistance in general grounds maintenance.
The role of the Grounds Maintenance and Landscape Department is to provide a safe, functional and aesthetically-pleasing exterior environment for the students, faculty and staff of Kansas State University. The main campus of K-State consists of 250 acres of intensely landscaped area. The Grounds Maintenance Department is responsible for the maintenance and installation of all turfgrass, shrubs, trees, and annual flower beds on campus.
