Job summary

Callaway Gardens Resort, Inc. seeks a dedicated grounds maintenance worker to care for bedding plants, turf, irrigation systems, and campus grounds at CGR. You will supervise volunteers, train staff, and uphold safety and pesticide log requirements while maintaining high landscape standards.

Responsibilities include operating grounds equipment, coordinating daily tasks, and ensuring a safe, welcoming outdoor environment for guests and team members.

Qualifications

• Training or experience in Horticulture/Landscaping required.
• Must have a valid driver’s license.
• Must complete WPS training within 5 days of hire.

Responsibilities

• Maintain bedding plants, woody ornamentals, turf, interior foliage, and clean up public areas.
• Operate and train others in the use of grounds maintenance equipment and ensure safety.
• Experience with irrigation systems; monitor and maintain irrigation care and fertilizer programs.
• Manage day-to-day operations to maximize efficiency while providing a safe, pleasant landscape for guests.
