Job summary

Sperber Landscape Companies is seeking a field supervisor to oversee landscape installation and incidental work under the Landscape Project Manager. You will coordinate crew activities, review plans, manage labor and equipment deployment, and ensure safety and budget compliance.

The role requires strong communication skills, the ability to read and write English, and a valid California driver’s license. Expect to work five 8-hour days with potential overtime in outdoor, variable conditions.

Responsibilities

• Receive assignments from Landscape Construction Management.
• Execute assignments by supervising crew with minimal assistance.
• Study plans and specifications before starting work.
• Use plans to carry out landscape installation tasks.
• Plan labor and equipment deployment for efficient operations and submit plans.
• Ensure compliance with project budgets and safety policies.
• Train and instruct crew members and ensure proper tool/ equipment handling.
• Maintain safe handling of materials and equipment and enforce company policies.
• Work five consecutive 8-hour days, with possible overtime as needed.
