Gabriel Group seeks a Porter to maintain the cleanliness and tidiness of its Houston, TX properties. The Porter handles outdoor duties such as trash pickup, debris removal, and light maintenance like trimming, ensuring walkways are clear.
Schedule is four 10-hour shifts, Monday through Thursday. The role requires independence, strong attention to detail, physical stamina, reliable transportation, and good communication.
The Porter plays a crucial role in maintaining the cleanliness and tidiness of the company’s properties. The Porter is responsible for ensuring that outdoor spaces are free from litter, debris, and broken branches. Additionally, the Porter may be called upon to perform light maintenance tasks such as trimming.
Schedule M-Thursday, four 10-hour shifts.
Perform regular property walks to identify and pick up trash, litter, and debris.
Safely dispose of collected waste in designated bins or areas.
Remove and properly dispose of broken branches, leaves, and other natural debris.
Assist with light landscaping maintenance tasks such as trimming or clearing pathways as needed.
Maintain a clean and organized workspace, including storage areas for tools and equipment.
Report any maintenance or safety issues to the appropriate supervisor .
Adhere to all company policies and procedures, including safety protocols.
Ability to work independently with minimal supervision.
Strong attention to detail and a commitment to maintaining high standards of cleanliness.
Physical stamina and the ability to perform repetitive tasks in various weather conditions.
Excellent communication skills and a positive attitude.
Must have reliable transportation to and from work sites.
Flexibility to work 40 hours per week, including some weekends or evenings as needed.
While performing the duties of this job, the employee is frequently exposed to fumes or airborne particles, moving mechanical parts, and vibration. The employee is occasionally exposed to a variety of extreme conditions at construction or landscape job sites. The noise level in the work environment and job sites can be loud. The position regularly works near moving mechanical parts and in outside conditions that include inclement weather, heat and humidity, and exposure to dust and asphalt.
The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. The position lifts heavy objects, walks and stands for long periods of time and performs strenuous physical labor under adverse field conditions. The employee lifts, pushes, pulls, or carries objects; uses abdominal and lower back muscles to provide support over time without fatigue; and effectively jumps, sprints or throws objects. The position requires good manual dexterity (hand, hand with arm, two hands) and multilimbed coordination. The position requires the ability to quickly move arms and legs. The employee must have excellent stamina.

Experience with irrigation repairs preferred
