Job summary

1st-Lake-Properties is seeking a Landscape Manager to oversee landscaping across our portfolio of apartment communities in the Greater New Orleans area. You will inspect grounds, manage irrigation and coordinate with maintenance teams to ensure vibrant, well-kept properties.

The role requires experience in horticultural management, irrigation expertise, and strong communication with contractors. Outdoor work in all weather, background check, and drug screening are part of the process.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years horticultural management experience; or 2–3 years with related college degree.
• Louisiana Horticultural License or acquire within 6 months.
• Proficient communication skills for contractors.
• Experience servicing/repairing irrigation systems and landscape installations.
• Literacy with computers/tablets and Microsoft Office.

Responsibilities

• Inspect property grounds and report issues with planted materials, watering, and irrigation.
• Monitor and manage performance of landscape maintenance contractors.
• Oversee irrigation systems at properties.
• Consult and assist staff with landscape projects.
• Meet with Property Managers and Grounds Maintenance Technicians to review landscaping guidelines.
• Assist with budgetary items for ongoing landscape maintenance and future projects.
