Job description

The Town of Edenton Public Works Department is seeking to fill a position for a Landscape Maintenance Worker that performs responsible work in the maintenance and care of grounds, parks, utility easements, right of ways and related town owned property. This position requires the operation of mowing equipment, trimmers, chainsaws, blowers, and other light equipment. Will perform other related duties as required. Job involves working outdoors and exposure to inclement weather. Medium to heavy physical activity is required.

Qualifications:

1. Must possess a valid NC Driver’s License.
2. Must possess a NC Commercial Class B Driver’s License or ability to obtain commercial license within six months of employment.
3. Experience with equipment operation is desired.
4. Graduate from High School and some experience in grounds maintenance activities or an equivalent combination of education and experience.

Hiring Rate: $31,200 yearly. Salary depends on qualifications and experience.
