Job summary

Ruppert Landscape Co. invites motivated students to join a 10–12 week landscape maintenance internship for May–August 2027.

The program blends field operations with office support, offering hands-on training, shadowing, and dedicated mentoring within a collaborative team. You will gain exposure to Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales, and Branch Leadership, and may pursue a department-specific training track at the end of the internship.

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED required.
• Pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agribusiness, Business Management, Operations Management, Construction Management, or related field.
• Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a hands-on, fast-paced environment.
• Interest in teamwork, customer-focused environment, and supporting various operational needs.
• Comfortable working in office and outdoor field environments.
• Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and operate common software tools.

Responsibilities

• Gain hands-on experience in multiple areas of field operations.
• Shadow and engage with teams in Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales, and Branch Leadership.
• Work with a mentor to develop professionally and receive feedback.

Program Overview:

• Hands-OnFieldTraining: Gain hands-on experience in multiple areas of field operations, working alongside crews and developing a comprehensive understanding of landscape production and branch operations.

• Job Shadowing: Gain exposure to key areas of the business byobservingand engaging with teams involved in Field Operations, Irrigation, Enhancements, Sales, and Branch Leadership.

• Dedicated Mentorship: Work alongside an experienced mentor who will guide your progress, offer regular feedback, and support your professional development throughout the internship.

• Management & Leadership Development: Gain exposure to team building, professional etiquette, communication, leadership, and management best practices to help prepare you for future roles.

• Collaborative Team Environment: Contribute to meaningful projects while working alongside skilled professionals and fellow interns, fostering teamwork and shared learning.

• Professional Networking: Build lasting relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders within the organization, expanding your professional network and industry connections.

Internship Duration:

May–August 2027 (10–12 weeks)
