Your Role as a Seasonal Landscape Laborer/Road Worker

As a Seasonal Landscape Laborer/Road Crew Worker, you will play a key role in maintaining Ferguson Township's roads and landscapes. Your responsibilities include mowing grass, managing roadside vegetation with equipment such as zero-turn mowers and trimmers, maintaining landscape mulch beds around trees and plantings, watering plants, operating pickup trucks and hand-held power tools (circular saws, drills, leaf blowers), performing road maintenance tasks like asphalt patching and crack sealing, cleaning culverts, and assisting with vehicle and equipment upkeep.

Requirements

Candidates should be at least 18 years old, possess a high school diploma or equivalent, and have a valid Pennsylvania driver's license. A PA CDL License (Class B) is highly preferred but not required. Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions, including lifting heavy objects, standing, walking, bending, and operating machinery, is necessary. Prior experience in construction, landscaping, or general labor is preferred but not required, as training will be provided.
