The ideal candidate has landscaping or groundskeeping experience, is physically able to perform the work in various weather conditions, and can work both independently and as part of a team.

Qualifications

• Prior landscaping, groundskeeping, or outdoor labor experience preferred.
• Able to perform physically demanding outdoor work in varying weather.
• Comfortable working alone or as part of a team.

Responsibilities

• Maintain lawns, gardens, walkways, and outdoor areas across the community.
• Mow, edge, trim, and fertilize turf areas.
• Plant and care for flowers, shrubs, and trees to enhance campus aesthetics.
• Seasonal clean-up including leaf removal, mulching, and snow/ice removal.
• Ensure walkways, entrances, and outdoor spaces are safe, clean, and hazard-free for residents.
• Operate and maintain landscaping equipment safely and responsibly.
• Assist with irrigation systems and basic grounds maintenance tasks.
• Interact courteously with residents and respond to questions or concerns professionally.

This role plays an important part in creating a peaceful, attractive outdoor environment for our residents, families, and staff. The ideal candidate is respectful, patient, and enjoys working in an environment that serves older adults.

Key Responsibilities:

• Maintain lawns, gardens, walkways, and common outdoor areas across the community
