Ruppert Landscape invites motivated and driven students to join a 10–12 week internship focused on landscape installation operations. You will work on field projects, shadow leaders across Project Management, Estimating, Sales and Operations, and gain practical experience in a fast-paced, team-oriented setting.

The program emphasizes hands-on training, mentorship, and opportunities to present your learnings while building industry knowledge and professional networks.

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or GED required.
  • Actively pursuing a degree in Horticulture, Turf Management, Agribusiness, Business Management, Operations Management, Construction Management or related field.
  • Strong problem-solving skills; able to adapt in a fast-paced environment.
  • Interest in team-oriented, customer-focused industry and supporting operational needs.
  • Comfortable working in both office and outdoor field environments.
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds as part of routine duties.
  • Proficient with common software (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint).

Responsibilities

This is a field-focused program that builds your knowledge of field operations to prepare for a successful career in thecommerciallandscape industry. Your schedule will be customized based on various roles and specific projects, withasignificantportionof the programspentoutside.

Program Overview:
  • Hands-OnFieldTraining: Gain hands-on experience in multiple areas of field operations, working alongside crews and developing a comprehensive understanding of landscape production and branch operations.
  • Job Shadowing: Gain exposure to key areas of the business byobservingand engaging with teams involved inProject Management, Estimating, Sales, and Operations to gain a deeper understanding of daily workflows and responsibilities.
  • Dedicated Mentorship: Work alongside an experienced mentor who will guide your progress, offer regular feedback, and support your professional development throughout the internship.
  • Management & Leadership Development: Gain exposure to team building, professional etiquette, communication, leadership, and management best practices to help prepare you for future roles.
  • Collaborative Team Environment: Contribute to meaningful projects while working alongside skilled professionals and fellow interns, fostering teamwork and shared learning.
  • Professional Networking: Build lasting relationships with peers, mentors, and leaders within the organization, expanding your professional network and industry connections.
  • Intern Choice Experience: Interns will have an opportunity to gain further training in the department of their choice at the end of the program as they wrap up their internship.
  • Final Presentation: At the end of the program, interns will present their internship experience, highlighting key field experiences, projects, lessons learned, skills developed, andhow they experienced and contributed to Ruppert’s culture and values.
  • Career Pathways: Top-performing interns may be considered for full-time employment opportunities following graduation.
Internship Duration:

May–August 2027 (10–12 weeks)

Qualifications:
  • High School Diploma or GED equivalentrequired
  • Candidates must be actively pursuing a degree inHorticulture,TurfManagement,Agribusiness,BusinessManagement,OperationsManagement,ConstructionManagement,orrelatedfield.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to adapt in a hands-on, fast-paced environment

  • Comfortable working in both office and outdoor field environments
  • Ability to safely lift and carry up to 50 pounds as part of routine job duties
  • Proficient in the use of computers and common software applications, including Microsoft Outlook, Excel, Word, and PowerPoint
