Job summary

The Davey Tree Expert Company is seeking a Landscape Install Crew Leader in Vermont. You will plan and execute landscaping operations, maintain grounds for private, governmental or business properties, and supervise a crew of up to four people on site.

You should have outdoor affinity, a valid driver's license (CDL/DOT card possible), and prior supervisor experience in landscaping. This role involves reading plans, operating landscape equipment, and ensuring safety and quality on job sites.

Qualifications

• Valid driver’s license (ability to obtain CDL or DOT med card)
• Experience supervising crew in landscaping
• Ability to lift 50 lbs to shoulder height
• Knowledge of Northeast landscaping materials, methods and skills
• Ability to read and interpret construction plans and maintain records
• Ability to operate landscape equipment and work in various weather conditions

Position Overview

Plans and executes landscaping operations and maintains grounds and landscape of private, governmentalorbusiness residences by performing the following duties.

Job Duties

• Be responsible and ensure landscape construction projects are installed properly and according to the plan.
• Learn the safe and proper way to work and direct a crew of up to four people
• Maintain open communication with management, suppliers and crew members
• Learn to read and interpret construction plans and maintain accurate records
• Drive, use, maintain and properly operate landscape equipment

Qualifications

What We're Looking For:

• Love of the outdoors
• Required: Valid driver's license (Ability to get CDL or DOT med card upon hire)
• Required: Previous experience as a supervisor, crew leader, or foreman in a landscaping environment.
• Ability to complete the Davey landscape career development books
• Ability to complete the Davey first aid, CPR and defensive driving course upon hire
• Knowledge of materials, methods, and skills related to landscaping in the Northeast region
• Experience in landscape construction or related fields
• Ability to operate various landscape equipment
• Ability to work in a variety of weather conditions
• Ability to lift 50 lbs. to shoulder height
