Job summary

Freeman Landscape, Inc. is seeking a Landscape Installation Crew Leader to guide a crew on building high-quality outdoor spaces in Eastern North Carolina. You will lead installations, coordinate activities, and ensure work aligns with plans and client expectations.

Responsibilities include supervising crews, reading plans, operating equipment, and maintaining safety on site while delivering projects on schedule and to standard. Growth opportunities exist within the company.

Qualifications

• Minimum 1 year experience as Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor in landscape installation or hardscape.
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License.
• Experience operating landscape equipment listed in duties.
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans.
• Strong leadership, communication, and accountability.
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise landscape installation crews.
• Manage daily project activities, productivity, and safety.
• Read and execute landscape plans and specifications.
• Install trees, shrubs, sod, mulch, drainage, and hardscape features.
• Perform fine grading and site preparation.
• Coordinate material deliveries and site logistics.

• Ensure projects meet schedule and quality standards.
• Communicate with clients, PMs, and supervisors.

What You'll Do

As an Installation Crew Leader, you will lead a team responsible for building high-quality landscape and hardscape projects safely, efficiently, and according to plan.

Responsibilities include:

• Leading and supervising landscape installation crews
• Managing daily project activities, productivity, and job site safety
• Reading and executing landscape plans and specifications
• Installing trees, shrubs, sod, mulch, drainage systems, and landscape enhancements
• Performing fine grading and site preparation
• Installing retaining walls, paver patios, walkways, and other hardscape features
• Operating skid steers, tractors, dingos, and other landscape construction equipment
• Coordinating material deliveries and job site logistics
• Training and developing crew members
• Ensuring projects are completed on schedule and meet company quality standards
• Communicating effectively with clients, project managers, and supervisors

What We're Looking For

• Minimum 1 year experience as a Crew Leader, Foreman, or Supervisor in landscape installation, landscape construction, or hardscape construction
• Valid North Carolina Driver's License
• Experience operating skid steers, tractors, dingos, and landscape construction equipment
• Experience with landscape installation, fine grading, drainage, retaining walls, paver patios, and hardscape construction
• Ability to read and interpret landscape plans and layouts
• Strong leadership and communication skills
• Dependable, professional, and accountable
• Positive attitude and strong work ethic
• Ability to manage crews, schedules, and project timelines
• Commitment to safety and quality workmanship
