Join Our Team as the Landscape & Grounds Manager

The Town of Hilton Head Island is seeking an experienced and skilled Landscape & Grounds Manager to oversee the Facilities Management workplan, ensuring effective landscape and grounds management of Town properties, roads Rights-of-Ways and special landscaping projects.

What You Will Do

  • Directs, oversees, and participates in the development of the Facilities Management landscape and grounds maintenance workplan, and special projects
  • Plans, organizes, directs, and supervises maintenance activities including, road, pathway, and median maintenance, Town facilities ground maintenance, waste collection, and litter control
  • Manages landscape and grounds maintenance projects and programs for pathways, parks, open areas, and roadway landscapes
  • Provides supervision to assigned staff
  • Works closely with and coordinates efforts with the Town’s IPM Specialist
  • Develops and procures landscape, litter control and maintenance contracts responding to requests from the public, and inspecting work completed
  • Participates in preparation and administration of assigned division's budget
  • Develops contracts and projects involving landscape and grounds maintenance of Town properties and horizontal facilities


Qualifications

  • Associate degree in related field
  • Five (5) years of related experience to include landscape and grounds management, and some supervisory experience; or an equivalent combination of education and experience
  • Valid Driver’s License
  • May be required to work varied work schedule
