Job summary

Pinnacle Landscaping in Columbus, OH is seeking a landscape technician to apply fertilizer and pesticides to lawns, trees, and shrubs, and to perform lawn inspections and customer service.

The role requires a valid driver’s license, ability to lift up to 60 pounds, willingness to work weekends and snow removal, and strict adherence to safety procedures; knowledge of fertilization and pesticides is preferred.

Qualifications

• Availability to work a varied schedule including Saturdays.
• Ability to work in adverse weather conditions including wet, rain, snow, or extreme heat or cold.
• Basic understanding of mechanical landscape equipment.
• Ability to identify plants, preferred.
• Knowledge of fertilization and pesticides is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Fertilizer and pesticide application (according to schedule) to lawns, trees, and shrubs.
• Responsible for weed control, shrub care, and aeration.
• Must use proper application techniques and compliance with ODA standards, rules, and regulations
• Perform service calls and lawn inspections.
• Provide excellent customer service by handling customer issues in a timely and professional manner.
• Follow all proper safety procedures.
• Maintain the cleanliness, safety, and general maintenance of vehicles and equipment.
• Perform snow removal in the winter months.
• Follow all company policies and procedures.
• Perform any other duties as assigned.

Ability to operate the equipment listed above, in addition to other commonly used landscaping equipment

Work Conditions

Employees performing this job should be able and willing to drive or travel locally, if needed. Schedules for this position may vary and may require flexibility to work extended hours. Potential work hours during the snow season include nighttime, weekends, and holidays to participate in snow removal activities. This position will require working outdoors in a variety of weather conditions including rain, snow, sun, extreme cold or heat.
