Job summary

Visterra Landscape Group is seeking an experienced Mechanic to diagnose, repair, and perform preventative maintenance on a range of landscape equipment and fleet vehicles in Indianapolis. You will work with operations teams to prioritize repairs, maintain records, and support uptime while ensuring safety and compliance.

The ideal candidate has at least 3 years of mechanics experience, with knowledge of mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.

Qualifications

• Minimum 3 years of mechanic/equipment technician experience.
• Experience maintaining commercial landscape equipment and fleet assets.
• Valid driver's license; CDL preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and repair mechanical, hydraulic, electrical, and fuel systems.
• Perform preventative maintenance on trucks, trailers, skid steers, mowers, sweepers, and other equipment.
• Maintain maintenance records and service logs.
• Order and manage parts inventory to support repairs.
• Ensure compliance with safety standards and operating procedures.
• Coordinate repairs with branch leadership and field teams.
• Respond to urgent repair needs to minimize downtime.
