ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty and competency satisfactorily. The requirements listed below are representative of the knowledge, skill, and/or ability required to perform this job.

• Safely operate light to heavy-duty equipment on a daily basis.
• Distribute inventory from the main yard as needed to job sites.
• Safely unload materials from delivery trucks and distribute them properly throughout the assigned yard areas.
• Safely load and unload equipment on and off trailers.
• Safely load and unload bulk and palletized materials into and out of dump trucks with a skid steer.
• Ensure cleanliness and organization of all working areas, including but not limited to the shop, yard, and job sites.
• Perform routine inspections and maintenance on light to heavy-duty equipment.
• Ensure all equipment is clean and job site ready on a daily basis.
• Ability and willingness to perform landscape and maintenance duties as needed and directed by the supervisor.
• Follow all policies as specified in the Team Member Handbook.
• Retain, label, and submit all receipts timely and accurately.
• Assist with snow removal during winter months.
• Commit the hours necessary to make sure the job is done to satisfaction; this may include weekends, holidays and/or hours outside of standard business hours.
• Timely input of hours on LMN software to ensure accurate payroll processing.
• Make decisions that are in the best interest of the company.
• Other duties needed to help drive and fulfill the Weller Brothers Mission.

EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE

Must be at least 18 years old

Minimum of three year’s experience operating light to heavy duty machinery is required

PHYSICAL REQUIREMENTS

The physical demands described here are representative of those that must be met by an employee to successfully perform the essential functions of this job. Employee must be able to perform the following tasks during a typical 8+hour day.

SEDENTARY WORK : Lifting up to 10#; occasionally lifting or carrying such articles as dockets, ledgers and small tools. Work essentially involves sitting and is considered sedentary if only a small amount of walking and standing is necessary to carry out duties.

LIGHT WORK: Lifting up to 20#, frequently lifting of carrying objects up to 10#. Work is classified light if it requires walking or standing to a significant degree (regardless of weight lifted) or involves sitting most of the time with a degree or pushing and pulling of arm or leg controls.

LIGHT MEDIUM WORK: Lifting up to 30#; frequent lifting or carrying of objects weighing up to 20#.

MEDIUM WORK: Lifting up to 50#; frequent lifting or carrying objects weighing up to 25#.

POSITION TYPE/EXPECTED HOURS OF WORK

This is a full-time non-exempt position. Specific schedules will be determined based on weather and general needs of the business.

Summary

The primary responsibility of the Landscape Driver is to load and unload materials at the main yard location or client specific job sites. This position will assist with a variety of responsibilities including but not limited to driving crews and materials to different jobsite locations, and organizational tasks to ensure that the main yard maintains an organized, clean and safe working environment. Experience operating and maintaining light to heavy duty equipment as well as working multiple schedules or irregular shifts will be necessary in order to complete this job to the standard of the Weller Brothers mission. All Weller Brothers team members are expected to provide excellent client service by assisting clients promptly and courteously, answer questions and provide information as needed. A Landscape Driver will be expected to perform all job responsibilities in a safe, timely and efficient manner.
