Job summary

VIKA in Jacksonville, FL is seeking an experienced Landscape Designer to contribute to a variety of land development projects as part of a multidisciplinary design team with civil engineers, planners and landscape architects.

The in‑office role emphasizes design and production of landscape architecture documents, AutoCAD/Civil 3D, basic 3D rendering, grading, planting design and entitlement work, with strong emphasis on local code research and professional growth.

Qualifications

• BA/BS in Landscape Architecture preferred.
• Knowledge of AutoCAD (Civil 3D preferred).
• Experience with site design, grading, planting design, and detailing.
• Ability to research and apply local zoning codes and environmental laws.
• Proficiency in MS Office Suite.
• Strong written and verbal communication skills.
• Strong organizational and time management skills.

Responsibilities

• Design support for project landscape designers and senior landscape architects.
• Develop basic experience in landscape architecture, planning and site design including grading and planting design.
• Coordinate with clients, agencies, and multi-disciplinary teams while preparing landscape plans for local jurisdictions.
• Build knowledge of local county approval processes and standards for career advancement.
