Job summary

Timmons Group, an award-winning landscape architecture and land planning firm, seeks a Landscape Designer II/III for our Charlotte, NC office. The candidate will collaborate with PMs and team members on a range of project types including commercial, mixed-use, parks, energy and renewables, campuses, and government clients, advancing design from concept through construction documentation.

Ideal applicants have 2–8 years of experience, strong design and communication skills, and proficiency in

Qualifications

Bachelor or Master’s degree in Landscape Architecture from an accredited program preferred.
2–8 years’ experience in landscape architecture preferred.
Professional registration or on track to receive preferred.
Team player with excellent design, graphic, and communication skills.
Experience with AutoCAD, LandFX, SketchUp, and 3D modeling.
Experience in producing construction documentation drawings and specifications.

Responsibilities

Design and Technical Production (80-90%): Collaborate with PMs and team members; develop landscape plans through all work phases; prepare illustrative plans and 3D renderings; assist in cost estimates and specifications; coordinate with internal and external teams and vendors; support construction administration and advocate for landscape architecture.
