Position Summary

We are looking for an experienced landscape designer to join our in‑house design studio. The selected candidate will design projects for both residential and commercial clients, translating client visions into high‑end, functional landscapes that align with Myatt’s reputation for superior quality.

Responsibilities

• Design stunning, functional landscapes that include pools, patios, outdoor kitchens, water and fire features, lighting, planting, and more.
• Collaborate closely with clients to understand their vision and produceimbalable, buildable plans.
• Manage multiple projects from concept through construction, ensuring timelines and quality standards are met.
• Work hand‑in‑hand with internal teams, subcontractors, and municipal reviewers to keep projects on track.
• Help shape the creative voice and visual style of our design studio.

Requirements and Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Landscape Design or Landscape Architecture from an accredited program.
• 2–5 years of experience in a professional design role.
• Strong, diverse portfolio showcasing residential and/or commercial projects (required with application).
• Excellent graphic communication skills – hand‑drawing and CAD software (AutoCAD, SketchUp, Adobe Creative Suite, etc.).
• Experience with permitting processes and code compliance; deep knowledge of municipal and building codes.
• Strong knowledge of construction methods, materials, and best practices.
• Confident communicator with solid writing, client‑facing, and project coordination skills.
• Proactive, entrepreneurial mindset with a desire to grow a high‑end design department.
