AECOM is seeking a Landscape Designer to be based in Los Angeles, CA.
This is an opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary practice focused on high-performing landscapes that tackle climate change, interconnectivity and mobility, smart growth, ecological systems, and natural resources. The studio designs a broad range of urban public realm projects including streetscapes, parks, ecological restoration, and green infrastructure.
Responsibilities
- Play an active role in the design process from concept through construction.
- Assist in the preparation of design graphics and technical drawings.
- Collaborate with project team members across disciplines.
- Under the direction of the Supervising Landscape Architect, may independently perform technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.
Qualifications
Minimum Requirements
- Landscape Architecture degree (BLA/BSLA/MLA) from an LAAB accredited program.
Preferred Qualifications
- 1+ years of professional Landscape Architecture experience.
- Strong interpersonal skills and excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
- Self‑motivated and proactive problem solving.
- Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory), Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, hand drawing.
- Proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhino3D).
- Desire and ability to integrate seamlessly into landscape architecture and multi‑disciplinary design teams.
- Commitment to design excellence and passion for building a better world.
- Licensed Landscape Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
- LEED GA/AP, SITES AP, or ENV SP credential.
- Familiarity with Southern California and/or Pacific Northwest native and climate‑appropriate plant communities.
- Familiarity with construction documentation and technical drawings.
- Experience with advanced modeling and analysis software (e.g. Revit, Grasshopper3D, ArcGIS).
- Experience with advanced visualization software and plugins (e.g. Lumion, Enscape, V‑Ray).
Compensation & Benefits
Salary range: $65,000 – $70,000.
