Job summary

AECOM is seeking a Landscape Designer in Los Angeles, CA to contribute from concept through construction within a multi-disciplinary team focused on climate-responsive landscapes and urban public realm projects.

The role requires a LAAB-accredited landscape architecture degree, 1+ year of experience, and skills in AutoCAD, Rhino3D, Revit, and visualization tools. Hybrid schedule and sponsorship not available.

Qualifications

• LAAB-accredited Landscape Architecture degree.
• 1+ years of professional Landscape Architecture experience.
• Licensed Landscape Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
• Familiarity with Southern California and/or Pacific Northwest native and climate-appropriate plant communities.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and technical drawings.
• Experience with advanced modeling and analysis software (e.g. Revit, Grasshopper3D, ArcGIS).
• Experience with advanced visualization software and plugins (e.g. Lumion, Enscape, V-Ray).
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory) and Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, hand drawing.

• Assist in the preparation of design graphics and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with project team members across disciplines.

Job description

AECOM is seeking a Landscape Designer to be based in Los Angeles, CA.

This is an opportunity to join a multi-disciplinary practice focused on high-performing landscapes that tackle climate change, interconnectivity and mobility, smart growth, ecological systems, and natural resources. The studio designs a broad range of urban public realm projects including streetscapes, parks, ecological restoration, and green infrastructure.

Responsibilities

• Play an active role in the design process from concept through construction.
• Assist in the preparation of design graphics and technical drawings.
• Collaborate with project team members across disciplines.
• Under the direction of the Supervising Landscape Architect, may independently perform technical assignments of various complexities within approved schedules and budgets.

Qualifications

Minimum Requirements

• Landscape Architecture degree (BLA/BSLA/MLA) from an LAAB accredited program.

Preferred Qualifications

• 1+ years of professional Landscape Architecture experience.
• Strong interpersonal skills and excellent graphic, verbal, and written communication skills.
• Self‑motivated and proactive problem solving.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD (mandatory), Adobe Creative Suite, MS Office Suite, hand drawing.
• Proficiency in 3D modeling (Rhino3D).
• Desire and ability to integrate seamlessly into landscape architecture and multi‑disciplinary design teams.
• Commitment to design excellence and passion for building a better world.
• Licensed Landscape Architect or actively pursuing licensure.
• LEED GA/AP, SITES AP, or ENV SP credential.
• Familiarity with Southern California and/or Pacific Northwest native and climate‑appropriate plant communities.
• Familiarity with construction documentation and technical drawings.
• Experience with advanced modeling and analysis software (e.g. Revit, Grasshopper3D, ArcGIS).
• Experience with advanced visualization software and plugins (e.g. Lumion, Enscape, V‑Ray).

Compensation & Benefits

Salary range: $65,000 – $70,000.
