Job summary

Environmental Management Inc. in Central Ohio is seeking a Landscape Construction Crew Member to support the installation of commercial landscape projects, including hardscape and planting work.

The role requires outdoor work, pride in quality workmanship, and effective teamwork with the Crew Leader and crew. Ideal candidates bring a willingness to learn, attention to detail, and the ability to operate tools and equipment safely.

Qualifications

• Previous landscape construction experience preferred but not required.
• Experience installing pavers, retaining walls, irrigation systems, or planting materials.
• Ability to follow instructions and work effectively as part of a team.
• Strong work ethic, reliability, and attention to detail.
• Experience operating skid steers, mini excavators, loaders, or other heavy equipment is a plus.
• Valid driver’s license preferred.
• Bilingual (English/Spanish) is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Assist with commercial landscape construction projects, including installation of trees, shrubs, plants, sod, mulch, and decorative stone.
• Install paver patios, walkways, retaining walls, edging, and other hardscape features.
• Perform excavation, grading, trenching, and site preparation activities.
• Load, unload, and transport materials, tools, and equipment to job sites.
• Operate hand tools and power equipment safely and efficiently.
• Assist in reading site plans and following project specifications as directed by the Crew Leader.
• Maintain clean, organized, and safe work areas.
• Follow all company safety policies and procedures.
• Communicate effectively with Crew Leaders and team members.
• Perform other duties as assigned to support project completion.

Job Summary

Physical Requirements

• Ability to lift, carry, push, and pull up to 50 pounds regularly.
• Ability to stand, walk, bend, kneel, crouch, and perform physically demanding tasks throughout the workday.
• Ability to work outdoors in varying weather conditions, including heat, cold, rain, and humidity.
• Ability to use hand tools and power equipment safely.

Schedule

• Full-time position.
• Must be available to work extended hours, overtime, weekends, and during inclement weather when required by business needs.
