Job description

Each Great Outdoors client is unique and will have different opinions and goals for their property. The Landscape Crew Leader will utilize team management skills, knowledge of plants and planting materials, and innovations in landscape and hardscape installation when working with clients to achieve a high-quality product that meets the client's expectations.

Required Qualifications:

  1. 2 + years of related experience in performing and leading most aspects of landscape services including planting, mulching, and hardscaping.
  2. Reliable transportation to Ann Arbor, MI.
  3. Current DOT Medical Card.
  4. Ability to pass a pre-employment drug test and background check.
  5. Speak, write, and read English.
  6. Ability to perform the labor and management skills for both landscape and snow removal services and work in all weather conditions applicable to these services.
  7. Advanced knowledge of landscape techniques and the equipment required to perform landscaping services.
  8. Must pass review by management and 90-day probationary period.

Desired Qualifications:

  1. Speak Spanish.
  2. Possess relevant landscape industry licenses and certifications.

Key Responsibilities:

  1. Provide excellence in client service for residential and commercial landscape projects and snow removal.

Compensation: $18.00-$22.00/hour. Experience is a plus and may be compensated above this hourly rate.

Benefits: All full-time, regular employees are eligible for health, vision, and dental insurance coverage following 90 days of consecutive employment. $500 education budget for your first year. After one year of consecutive employment, all full-time, regular employees are eligible to participate in the Savings Incentive Match Plan (SIMPLE) IRA. Profit sharing offered to all company employees.
