U.S. Lawns in Miami South, FL is seeking a reliable Crew Leader to oversee field teams delivering landscaping services on-site. You will manage daily operations, support your crew, and ensure safe, on-time work with high-quality results.

The role requires leadership skills, landscaping experience, and a proactive attitude. You will train staff, enforce safety standards, and maintain equipment and uniforms to reflect our brand.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping or grounds maintenance.
• Strong communication and leadership skills (English and/or Spanish preferred).
• Able to lift up to 60 lbs and work outdoors in all conditions.
• Comfortable using tools like mowers, blowers, and trimmers.
• Valid state driver’s license and acceptable driving record (preferred).
• Ability to read schedules, safety procedures, and follow written instructions.

Responsibilities

• Plan daily workloads and prepare tools and materials in advance.
• Assign tasks to team members and ensure high-quality, timely completion.
• Enforce company standards, safety protocols, and crew discipline.
• Train team members using company processes (Job Sequencing, Gardener Training Series, etc.).
• Cross-train future leaders within your crew.
• Maintain a clean, professional appearance on site and in uniform.
• Serve as point of contact for clients and address needs or concerns.
• Proactively communicate customer issues or site updates to management.
• Conduct site inspections and maintain work to spec.
• Keep crew vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and functional.
• Track equipment condition and follow maintenance schedules.
• Complete inspections and reports (Vehicle/Trailer Safety, Equipment Repairs).
• Read and complete required forms and logs; assist with schedules.

• Keep daily punch lists to manage job quality and prioritiesEnsure all safety protocols, PPE usage, and tailgate meetings are followed
• Keep crew vehicles, trailers, and equipment clean, organized, and functional

Equipment Oversight

• Track equipment condition and follow maintenance and inventory schedules
• Complete inspections and reports (Vehicle Safety, Trailer Safety, Equipment Repairs)
• Be accountable for proper use and care of tools and vehicles

Administrative Responsibilities

• Read and complete required forms and logs (e.g., LMRs, spray requests, accident reports)
• Help organize and implement work schedules
• Report irrigation issues or needed repairs to management
• Assist with crew performance reviews and tracking goals
