Are you passionate about outdoor work and looking to advance your career in the landscaping industry? As a Landscape Crew Leader, you'll gain valuable experience by supporting and assisting the crew under the guidance of our Foreman. This role is ideal for motivated individuals who enjoy working outdoors, take pride in their efforts, and want to develop skills in task coordination and team support. You will help ensure daily tasks are completed safely, efficiently, and to high standards, all while fostering a positive and productive work environment. About Us: Colonial Gardens, located in Blue Springs, MO, was added to our brand family in 2016. Founded in 1969, renovations began in 2017 to create an agritourism destination. It is the garden center, reimagined! We offer a greenhouse, nursery, café and coffee shop, event space, and farmer’s market. It’s where plants, food and farms connect. Educational classes promoting local agriculture and sustainability as well as private events are also offered.

• This is a seasonal full-time role working at Colonial Gardens in Blue Springs, Missouri.
• Hourly Range: $18.00-$20.00 dependent on experience

Key Responsibilities:

• Team Support: Lead by example, embodying professionalism and integrity. Foster a positive and collaborative work environment where crew members adhere to company values and uphold high standards.
• Time Management: Oversee job tasks, ensuring they are completed efficiently and on time. Prioritize assignments and delegate responsibilities to crew members, while also assisting with their development and growth.
• Job Planning & Execution: Ensure the crew delivers services that meet or exceed quality and profitability targets, by providing clear guidance and effective execution.
• Oversight: Take full responsibility for the crew in the absence of the Landscape Services Foreman, ensuring jobs are completed accurately, safely, and on schedule.
• Collaborate with the Landscape Services Foreman to install plants and materials according to landscape design specifications.
• Build strong, respectful relationships with homeowners and clients, always maintaining professionalism and respect for their property.
• Maintain a clean, organized, and safe job site throughout the project.
• Assist with inventory tracking and record-keeping as directed by the Foreman.
• Help with equipment and tool maintenance, identifying when service or replacement is required.
• Support other landscape projects around the Colonial property as needed.
• Assist other departments as required.
• May occasionally be asked to travel to pick up products or supplies from other locations.

Minimum Qualifications:

• Required: High School Diploma or equivalent
• Required: Previous landscaping experience
• Required: 1 year of crew leadership experience, or 2+ years of landscaping experience
• Required: Valid driver’s license (Class E required, or willingness to obtain)
• Preferred: Bilingual candidates are a plus
