What You’ll Do

As a Landscape Project Manager (Level 2), you’ll oversee complex projects, manage diverse teams, and ensure CBLD’s visionary designs come to life. This role involves greater responsibility than Level 1, including leading larger-scale projects and mentoring junior staff.

• Lead Projects: Manage high-end residential landscape projects from planning to completion, ensuring quality, timeliness, and alignment with CBLD’s artistic vision.
• Supervise Teams: Oversee project crews and subcontractors, including specialties like lighting, pool contractors, and carpenters, fostering collaboration and efficiency.
• Engage Clients: Build strong client relationships through regular updates and responsive communication to ensure satisfaction.
• Manage Resources: Develop and monitor budgets, timelines, and resources to meet project goals.
• Ensure Quality: Oversee all installation aspects, ensuring subcontractors uphold CBLD’s high standards.
• Mentor Staff: Guide and mentor Level 1 Project Managers and junior team members to support growth and team cohesion.
• Ensure Compliance: Adhere to safety regulations, environmental standards, and local zoning requirements.
• Solve Challenges: Address site conditions, delays, or scope changes with innovative solutions.

What We’re Looking For

• Bachelor’s degree in Landscape Architecture, Horticulture, Construction Management, or related field.
• 5+ years of landscape project management experience, with at least 2 years in a leadership role (Level 2 or equivalent).
• Strong knowledge of Midwestern native and ornamental plants and construction methods (masonry, hardscaping, grading, drainage).
• Proficiency in project management software (e.g., MS Project, Procore) and familiarity with CAD software (AutoCAD preferred).
• Excellent organizational, leadership, and client-facing communication skills.
• Valid driver’s license and ability to travel to Midwest project sites.
• Collaborative mindset with a passion for creating a positive work environment.

Preferred Skills

• Certifications like PMP, APLD, or similar project management credentials.
• Experience with sustainable practices, such as water-efficient irrigation or native plantings.
• Familiarity with estimating and contracting software, such as Aspire, is a plus.
• Knowledge of local permitting processes and environmental regulations.
