Role Overview
Join the Garden Services Division at Britescape as a Landscape Construction LEAD II. We are seeking a detail-oriented, dependable craftsman who understands design and has developed skills for excellent execution. As a member of the Enhancements Team, you will work in tandem with our Garden Services Account Managers and fellow teammates to complete projects from inception to a high-quality finish.
The ideal candidate is someone with technical expertise in small-scale hardscaping who finds genuine satisfaction in working alongside teammates to ensure every project—from patios and walls to plantings—meets Britescape standards for efficiency and precision.
Key Responsibilities
- Technical Skillset: Complete small-scale construction projects including paver installation, flagstone, and limited-size stone barriers/retaining walls.
- Horticultural Knowledge: Knowledge of PNW-specific plant ID, proper soil preparation, and planting depths to ensure long-term plant health
- Irrigation Systems: Proficiency in reading irrigation plans, installing zones (drip and spray), and programming controllers
- Lawn Mastery: Expertise in grading, sod installation, and hydroseed preparation.
- Equipment Ops: Experience operating skid steers, mini-excavators, and trenchers with a focus on safety and site preservation.
- Team Mentorship: Work alongside crew members to further technical skills, promote safety, and support the next generation of Britescape craftsmen.
- Project Coordination: In partnership with the AMs and the Enhancement Team, ensure efficient project flow, from procuring and delivering materials to final walkthroughs.
- Field Operations: Hands-on execution of excavation, grading, soil preparation, irrigation installation/repair, and high-detail plantings.
- Quality Control: Maintain "Britescape Standards" through professional client communication, solution-oriented problem-solving, and meticulous clean-up.
- Cross-Division Support: Occasionally collaborate with the Garden Maintenance team to ensure company-wide success during peak seasons.
Qualifications
- Experience: 2-3 years of professional landscape construction experience with responsibilities listed above. (Required).
- Leadership: Proven ability to delegate tasks and a desire to support others.
- Logistics: Valid Driver’s License with a clean, insurable record. Ability to procure and transport materials.
- Physicality: Ability to work outdoors year-round and lift at least 75 lbs.
- Communication: Fluent in English (written and spoken); ability to respond to field challenges with a positive, "can-do" attitude.
