Who Are We
James Martin Associates, Inc. (JMA) is a Vernon Hills Snow and Landscape Management firm. We are seeking Laborers to produce high-quality landscape installations and maintenance. Client satisfaction and performing work within allowed hours are essential. Must contribute to the company-wide duties, responsibilities, snowplow operations, goals, and objectives of James Martin Associates. This position may or may not be full-time with JMA.

Responsibilities

• Work with other crew members to produce quality landscapes safely using the allotted materials and labor hours.
• Coordinate and stage projects efficiently on-site with foremen.
• Assist foremen with loading and unloading your truck daily.
• Handle materials and equipment properly and safely to avoid damage and injury.
• Participate in snow operations during winter.

Qualifications

• 1+ years of experience in landscape construction.
• Valid driver’s license preferred with a clean driving record.
• Experience with heavy machinery is preferred.
• Ability to read landscape construction plans and proposals.
• English and Spanish proficiency preferred.

Compensation and Benefits

• $18 - $23/hour + overtime; 50-60 hours per week during spring/summer/fall, with 2-3 Saturdays per month.
