Job summary

Smith Lawnscapes LLC is seeking a hardworking landscaper/excavation helper to join our family-oriented team serving the Greater Lansing Area for over 20 years.

Responsibilities include site prep, drainage installation support, operating and maintaining tools, and following safety protocols while delivering quality workmanship to residential and commercial clients across Dewitt, East Lansing, Haslett, Okemos, Grand Ledge, and nearby towns.

Qualifications

• Prior experience in landscaping, excavating, or construction preferred but not required.
• Ability to perform physical labor in various weather conditions.
• Strong work ethic and attention to detail.
• Good communication skills and ability to work as part of a team.
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation.
• Willingness to learn and grow within the company.

• Perform site preparation including grading, leveling, and excavation to ensure optimal conditions for landscaping projects.
• Assist with the installation of drainage systems, base materials, and site layouts according to project specifications.
• Support senior team members in executing landscaping and hardscaping projects.
• Operate and maintain tools and equipment safely and effectively.
• Follow safety protocols and company standards to ensure a safe work environment.
• Communicate effectively with team members and clients to ensure project requirements are met.
