Job description

Job Purpose

The Landscape Construction Crew Leader is a hands-on position responsible for managing daily operations on an assigned jobsite. Supervision includes commercial landscape irrigation installation, landscape construction projects, subcontractor management, and administrative functions. The site supervisor reads job plans and specifications to ensure installations meet project and company standards.

Responsibilities

Include but are not limited to:

• Supervise and train installation crews, promoting safety
• Execute the scope of installation projects as per contract
• Read and implement job plans according to specifications
• Install plantings, lawns, irrigation systems, and hardscapes
• Perform landscape tasks such as digging, tilling, planting, raking, watering, and cleanup
• Handle heavy equipment and materials loading/unloading
• Manage material handling and storage
• Schedule and oversee daily work assignments for staff and subcontractors
• Coordinate daily equipment and material needs
• Participate in safety and team meetings
• Submit daily timesheets via BOSS Mobile
• Complete administrative paperwork
• Maintain truck and trailer cleanliness and standardization
• Utilize technology for communication
• Communicate progress and plans with the Production Manager
• Follow start-up and shut-down procedures daily
• Ensure job quality and hours management
• Drive company vehicles safely, with or without trailers
• Adjust irrigation controllers and understand irrigation components
• Maintain on-site relations with clients and contractors
• Operate and maintain equipment safely
• Assist in other divisions as needed
• Participate in winter snow removal
