Job summary

Creative Environments seeks a CAD Technician to create precise design plans for landscape projects at our Tempe, AZ office. You will interpret concepts, revise drawings, and communicate with team members to meet project goals with high quality and attention to detail.

You will collaborate with designers, use AutoCAD and other tools to prepare accurate drawings and legends, and help implement established CAD standards while supporting ongoing project delivery.

Qualifications

• 0-1 year experience as a CAD Drafter in a Landscape Architecture or Architecture firm.
• Associate's degree or higher in CAD, Drafting, Architecture, Landscape Architecture, or a related field is preferred.
• Relevant certifications in CAD software (e.g., AutoCAD, Revit, SketchUp) are highly desirable

Responsibilities

• Collaborate with landscape designers to convert sketches into precise CAD drawings
• Use CAD software to create visually engaging designs with efficient time usage
• Develop detailed, accurate legends identifying all design aspects
• Maintain communication with designers to verify information and provide updates
• Proficient in AutoCAD, Adobe PDF, email, word processing, and spreadsheets
• Apply mathematical skills to interpret design specifications accurately
• Demonstrate critical thinking to optimize outcomes for clients
• Revise plans as requested by CAD Manager, Designers, Executives
• Learn and implement standards set for all drawings in the CAD Department
• Implement proper calculations needed to produce accurate legends
• Other duties may be assigned to meet business needs
