Job summary

SmithGroup invites eligible students in architecture, interior design, urban planning, landscape architecture or engineering to apply for the Design a Better Future Scholarship and a paid summer internship at a SmithGroup office in the United States. The program includes a one-time $6,000 scholarship to offset tuition and a 12-week paid internship with hybrid work options centered in the Detroit area.

Applicants must be current undergrads (junior) or graduate students in US programs, enrolled

Qualifications

• Applicants must be a current undergraduate (at least a junior level standing) or graduate student in an accredited architecture, interior design, urban planning, landscape architecture or engineering program in the United States.
• Applicants must be an enrolled student during the Fall 2027 semester as scholarships are paid directly to the academic institution.
• Applicants must be available for a paid summer internship.
• Applicants should have a current GPA of 3.0 or better.
• Applicants must be legally authorized to work in the U.S.

Responsibilities

• Participate in a paid summer internship at SmithGroup office in the United States.
• Gain professional experience in the design industry and mentorship through the scholarship program.
