Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Landscape Architecture students to join our Houston, TX office for an on-site internship. You will analyze, produce, and QC client deliverables using industry software and contribute to site planning and urban design.

As an intern, you will learn multiple software tools (Photoshop, SketchUp, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/ArcView, PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, Excel) and navigate federal, state, and local regulations while collaborating with cross-disciplinary teams.

Qualifications

• Pursuing a Landscape Architecture degree (Bachelor's or Master's).
• Hands-on experience with design software and graphic production is valued.

Responsibilities

• Analyze, produce, and QC deliverables using design software.
• Contribute to site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic production.
• Assist with land planning, streetscapes, and public infrastructure design.
• Learn and apply regulations and client practices across projects.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Landscape Architecture students to join our Houston, Texas (TX) office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities

• Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
• Contribute to the site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production.
• Projects can include land planning, urban design and redevelopment, mixed-use and all types of residential development, streetscapes, design guidelines, public infrastructure design, parks, and other community facility design.
• Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
• Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
• Analysts will learn one or more software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Excel.

Qualifications

• In the process of receiving a Landscape Architecture Degree (Bachelors or Masters)
