Job summary

Kimley-Horn is seeking Landscape Architecture graduates to join our Des Moines, IA office. This role is not remote and offers opportunities in site planning and urban/landscape design.

You will analyze and produce deliverables using software, collaborate with multiple disciplines, and develop familiarity with relevant regulations and standards. The position supports projects ranging from land planning to public infrastructure design, with a focus on client visions for the future built

Qualifications

  • Degree in Landscape Architecture by Summer 2027.

  • Learn and apply standards, procedures, and regulations relevant to Kimley-Horn projects.

Overview

Kimley-Horn is looking for Landscape Architecture graduates to join our Des Moines, IA office! This is not a remote position.

Responsibilities
  • Utilize technical software programs on a regular basis to analyze, produce, and QC deliverables for our clients.
  • Contribute to the site planning, urban and landscape design, and graphic and technical production.
  • Projects can include land planning, urban design and redevelopment, mixed-use and all types of residential development, streetscapes, design guidelines, public infrastructure design, parks, and other community facility design.
  • Solve complex problems, assist project managers, and collaborate across disciplines to produce our clients’ visions for the future built environment.
  • Develop familiarity with the federal, state, and local regulations, as well as Kimley-Horn’s and our client’s practices, procedures, and standards.
  • Analysts will learn one or more software programs: Adobe Photoshop, Sketchup, InDesign, Illustrator, GIS/Arcview, and PowerPoint, AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and/or Excel.
Qualifications
  • A Degree in Landscape Architecture (Bachelors or Masters) by Summer 2027.

Salary: $73,000-$76,000
