Job summary

CSHQA seeks a Landscape Architect I to join its Boise office. You will work under an experienced landscape architect on diverse projects, with growth opportunities to become future team leader. You will contribute to design development, site analysis, and construction documentation.

You will engage in project acquisition, client coordination, and be involved from entitlements through construction closeout, collaborating with the team to deliver quality, sustainable landscapes.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree in landscape architecture from an accredited program.
• Licensed as a Landscape Architect.
• At least 4 years of professional office experience.
• Proficiency in AutoCAD; Civil 3D and Revit a plus.
• Experience with 3D modeling and rendering tools (Lumion, Rhino).
• Strong graphic, written, and verbal communication skills.
• Knowledge of site design, grading, drainage, and planting design.
• Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines in a collaborative environment.

Responsibilities

• Assist with proposals, including scope writing and fee estimation.
• Collaborate on site analyses and initial conceptual layouts, including design of hardscape and landscape features.
• Research zoning codes, land use regulations, and jurisdictional requirements for feasibility and permitting.
• Prepare conceptual designs, renderings, and presentation materials for landscape architecture projects.
• Select materials, plants, and sustainable design practices; update the client as progress occurs.
• Support the entitlement process, including submittals and agency coordination.
• Develop construction documents, including planting and irrigation plans.
• Coordinate with senior Landscape Architect, internal team, and external consultants.
• Assist with project documentation, permitting, and regulatory compliance.
• Participate in site visits and construction observation.
• Generate test fit site plans and flash plans including parking and landscape requirements.
