Job summary

The Planet Group is seeking a Landscape Architect in Savannah, GA to lead project management, design development, and construction documents for communities, parks, and streetscapes.

The position requires a degree in landscape architecture, 5+ years of experience, registration, and strong communication; travel may be required. Excellent benefits and competitive pay offered.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s or Master’s in landscape architecture from an accredited university.
• 5+ years of professional landscape architecture experience.
• Landscape Architect registration is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead presentations in public/private settings.
• Experience leading design reviews/entitlement processes is a plus.
• Proficient with AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Suite, SketchUp, Lumion, and MS Office.
• Willingness to travel as needed.

Responsibilities

• Manage projects from master planning to construction-level design.
• Coordinate with clients, design team, permitting jurisdiction and contractors.
• Mentor junior and mid-level staff.
• Prepare/review deliverables: reports, cost estimates, renderings, plans and specs.
• Support miscellaneous tasks to assist the project team.

Job description

A Landscape Architect

responsible for project management which will include coordination with the clients, design team, permitting jurisdiction and contractors, design (schematic, design development and construction level), preparation of construction plans including planting and hardscape plans and details, specifications, reports, studies, cost estimates and permit applications.

Job Duties:

• Master planning through detailed design activities as both a project manager and project contributor.
• Mentoring and technical oversight of junior and mid-level staff.
• Business development activities including but not limited to networking, preparation of proposals, interviewing, and negotiating fees.
• Preparation/review of deliverables including reports, cost estimates, renderings, plans and specifications.
• Miscellaneous tasks as required to assist the project team.

Required:

• Bachelor's or master's in landscape architecture from an accredited University or College.
• 5+years of professional experience as a Landscape Architect including experience with planning and design of communities, parks, streetscapes, and other similar project types.
• Registration as a Landscape Architect is required.
• Strong written and oral communication skills.
• Ability to lead presentations in both public and private settings. Experience with leading projects through a design review, entitlement or other similar public approval process is highly desired.
• Demonstrated experience with industry software applications (AutoCAD Civil 3D, Adobe Design Suite, Sketch-up, Lumion and all Microsoft Office programs).
• Demonstrated ability to work as part of a team.
• Some travel will be required to undertake the job duties described above. Travel may be planned or on an immediate basis and the candidate will need to be flexible in meeting project deadlines.
• Land and site planning design experience highly preferred

Pay: $105K - $130K
