Job summary

Synerfac Technical Staffing is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect in the Winston-Salem area to lead design efforts from concept through completion. You will work with a multidisciplinary team to deliver site and land development projects.

Responsibilities include creating site and planting plans, preparing construction documents, and mentoring junior staff while ensuring compliance with zoning and permitting regulations. This role emphasizes client communication and project leadership.

Qualifications

• RLA license strongly preferred or ability to obtain in the future.
• 5+ years of professional landscape architecture or related design experience.
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LandFX, and Adobe Creative Suite; SketchUp or similar 3D tools.

Job description

A land planning and design firm in the Winston-Salem area is seeking an experienced Landscape Architect to help lead design efforts across a variety of site and land development projects. This is an opportunity to take ownership of projects from concept through completion while working alongside a collaborative, multidisciplinary team.

Landscape Architect Responsibilities:

• Lead landscape design projects from initial concept through final implementation, coordinating closely with clients, consultants, and multidisciplinary teams
• Develop site plans, layouts, and planting plans for a range of project types, including parks, commercial developments, and residential communities
• Prepare detailed construction documents, including grading plans, planting plans, and technical specifications
• Conduct site visits to assess topography, vegetation, and drainage, informing design decisions and project feasibility
• Present design concepts to clients, municipal agencies, and other stakeholders, incorporating feedback to refine final designs
• Provide technical and design mentorship to junior team members
• Support business development through proposal writing, presentation materials, and client relationship building
• Ensure designs comply with local, state, and federal zoning, permitting, and environmental regulations
• Participate in construction site visits and field observations to help ensure design intent is carried through construction

Job Requirements

Landscape Architect Requirements:

• 5+ years of professional experience in landscape architecture or a related design field
• RLA (Registered Landscape Architect) license strongly preferred or ability to obtain in the future
• Proficiency with AutoCAD, Civil 3D, LandFX, and Adobe Creative Suite, along with SketchUp or similar 3D tools
