Job summary

Talbot Soil Conservation District is seeking a Landowner Assistance Coordinator to support the Envision the Choptank initiative. You will work with producer-led groups, assess resource concerns, and connect farmers to funding opportunities.

The role requires a Bachelor's degree and experience coordinating multiple projects with partnerships, including BMP implementation and cost-share processes. Travel and flexible hours may be needed.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field.
• 2 years related work experience or equivalent combination.
• Experience with farming and/or the agricultural community preferred on the Eastern Shore.
• Knowledge of agricultural BMPs and cost-share programs.

Responsibilities

• Build relationships with Soil Conservation Districts and partners in the Upper Choptank watershed.
• Provide technical assistance to landowners and farmers participating in Producer-Led Groups.
• Coordinate implementation of restoration practices and assist with grant reporting.
