Job summary

Jost International in Grand Haven, MI is seeking an Assembly Team Member to support the assembly of landing gear, parts and related components. You will follow standardized work and quality standards while logging training documents and maintaining safe practices.

The role requires dexterity, dependability, and the ability to work at multiple stations with varying weights. Training will be provided and a cooperative team environment is expected.

Qualifications

• Completion of High School education or GED.
• Capable of working in a fast-paced manufacturing environment safely and productively.
• Dexterity to work in all assembly areas with varied part weights and sizes.
• Highly dependable, motivated and possesses a high degree of attention to detail.
• Capable of using hand and power tools to include grinding tools.
• Mechanically inclined or previous experience in assembly.
• Required to understand and strictly abide by Work Instructions (WI).
• Able to learn and adhere to JOST’s Basic Processes and company policies.

Responsibilities

• Assembles landing gear legs and components accurately and efficiently according to standards.
• Follows all standard work and Work Instructions without deviation.
• Works independently and as part of a team, contributing to overall assembly success.
• Logs and completes training documents.
• Performs tasks safely in accordance with safety rules and procedures.
• Learns, cross trains, and rotates daily across stations on the assembly line.
• Communicates courteously with coworkers, supervisors and other JOST teams.
