Job summary

Serco Inc. in the Arlington area is seeking a Landing Craft C4N Engineer to join our engineering team. You will help evaluate and manage the delivery of new landing craft to the fleet and sustain existing assets, under a leadership team with deep DoD and shipbuilding experience.

Located in the DMV area, this role requires DoW Secret clearance. Responsibilities span program management, interface with naval customers, C4N system integration, and participation in design reviews, RMF/ATO activities,

Qualifications

  • Must obtain/maintain/transfer a DoW Secret security clearance.
  • Bachelor's degree in an Engineering discipline.
  • Three years of relevant experience.
  • Strong communication and program management skills.
  • Travel up to 10% for work.

Responsibilities

  • Provide program management support to the U.S Navy’s Amphibious Assault and Connectors Program’s engineering team.
  • Keep track of high priority tasks and drive issues to resolution.
  • Assist customer with managing overall workload and establishing and maintaining processes.
  • Become familiar with the SSC, LCAC, and LCU command and control, data processing, engineering control, navigation, and internal and external communications systems.
  • Serve as the primary LCU C4N interface to the customer.
  • Serve as the secondary SSC/LCAC C4N interface to the customer.
  • Collaborate with the SSC/LCAC C4N lead to accomplish required tasks and manage overall workload.
  • In support of SSC, LCAC, and LCU program milestones, provide oversight for C4N improvements and expansions of hardware (HW) and software (SW), participating in design reviews, helping induct items into the program change process, and dealing with relevant documentation.
  • Assist with coordination between the C4N team and the Cybersecurity teams on both the Serco and customer side in support of achieving Authority to Operate (ATO) through the RMF process.
  • Complete projects with limited supervision
  • Interface with key stakeholders across the program to communicate
  • Develop online databases, status updates, and metrics as requested
  • Provide technical and programmatic assistance for production and post delivery change cost and schedule impact, shipbuilder technical instruction statement of work (SOW) development and contract data requirement list (CDRL) review
  • Travel to assist and provide assessment/analysis for test events, plans and reports
  • Assist in development and review point papers and white papers
  • Participate in design reviews
  • Provide administrative support to brief technical issues and maintain technical baselines

Position Description & Qualifications

Role Summary

Join Serco as a Landing Craft Command, Control, Computers, Communication, and Navigation (C4N) Engineer. You will be part of an engineering team that is evaluating and managing the delivery of new landing craft to the fleet and sustaining existing fleet assets. Our team is led by a Program Manager having decades of experience working in the DoD and shipbuilding industry. This position will be located in the DMV area. This position is contingent upon your ability to obtain/maintain/transfer a DoW Secret level clearance. Our Naval Acquisition and Sustainment Operation provides critical services to nearly all U.S. Navy ships and craft and supports surface ship maintenance, modernization, and sustainment.

Responsibilities
