Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• One year of experience in a similar position.
• Must have a valid Alaska driver’s license.
• HAZWOPER certification or ability to obtain within six months.
• Asbestos Identification certification.

Responsibilities

• Monitor the central landfill and enforce policies.
• Answer public questions and resolve complaints.
• Open/close disposal sites; keep areas clean and functional.
• Operate heavy equipment when required.
• Build/repair barriers, signs and fencing.
• Assist with maintenance of division facilities.
• Monitor scales and asbestos disposal per regulations.
• Perform snow removal and grounds maintenance.
• Assist in scale house when needed.
• Perform related duties.
