Job summary

Pape-Dawson is seeking all levels of Rodman / Instrument Operator / Land Surveyors for their Houston, TX office. Training will be provided and field duties include reconnaissance, staking, and data collection using Levels, Robotic Total Stations and GPS.

The role offers competitive hourly pay with overtime, a year-end bonus, health and dental coverage, a 401(k) plan, vision care, and other benefits. A background check and drug screening are required.

Qualifications

• No prior experience required for entry-level role.
• Must be physically mobile and able to work outdoors in extreme weather.
• Ability to carry survey instruments and equipment over rough terrain.

Responsibilities

• Perform field reconnaissance of property lines and easements.
• Analyze topographical features to collect field data.
• Stake proposed improvements for construction crews.
• Operate survey instruments such as Levels, Robotic Total Stations and GPS.
• Record accurate notes and sketches in the field.
