Job summary

EVstudio, a multidisciplinary design firm, seeks an Associate Director to lead surveying operations across Colorado and Idaho. You will guide boundary, topographic, ALTA/NSPS, and construction staking projects, mentor field crews, and develop QA/QC workflows to support integrated design processes.

Qualifications

• Active Colorado PLS license or LSIT with the ability to obtain within a reasonable timeframe.
• 5+ years surveying experience with project leadership.
• Proficiency with Civil 3D and Trimble software; GPS and robotic total stations.
• Strong knowledge of Colorado survey law and land-use processes.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

What you'll do:

As an Associate Director, you will help lead survey operations, support multidisciplinary project teams, and help expand our surveying capabilities across Colorado and Idaho. This role combines technical expertise, project management, and client-facing responsibility.

Qualifications:

• 5+ years of progressive surveying experience, including project leadership.
• Proficiency with modern survey equipment (GPS, robotic total stations, data collectors) and software (Civil 3D, Trimble Business Center, or equivalents).
• Strong understanding of Colorado survey law, platting requirements, and land-use processes.
• Ability to manage multiple concurrent projects with limited oversight.
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

We are targeting a base salary of $90,000 to $140,000, but is determined by several factors including education, experience, and a history of working in the Denver metro area.
