Resource Options, Inc. is hiring a Land Surveyor to work on a mix of commercial, residential, and infrastructure projects across New England.

The role combines field work with office duties, using GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, AutoCAD, and Civil 3D to produce survey deliverables. The ideal candidate has 4+ years of land surveying experience and a relevant degree, with strong attention to detail and the ability to travel to project sites as needed.

Qualifications

  • 4+ years of land surveying experience preferred; candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or related field preferred.
  • Experience with boundary, topographic, construction, and/or existing conditions surveys.
  • Familiarity with GPS/GNSS equipment, robotic total stations, and electronic data collection.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D preferred.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans and survey plans with accuracy.

  • Reduce and process field data and assist with survey plans and deliverables.
  • Prepare or review survey drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related software.
  • Perform survey calculations, boundary analysis, and quality control of data.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients.
  • Maintain accurate field notes, records, and project documentation.

Job description

We're partnering with established engineering and geospatial consulting firms throughout New England to hire a Land Surveyor. This is an excellent opportunity for a surveying professional looking to work on a diverse mix of commercial, residential, institutional, infrastructure, and land development projects. This position offers a combination of field and office responsibilities, with the opportunity to work alongside experienced surveyors, engineers, planners, and other technical professionals. The ideal candidate will have experience with boundary, topographic, existing conditions, and construction surveys and be comfortable working with modern surveying technology and software.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Perform and/or support boundary, topographic, existing conditions, ALTA/NSPS, and construction surveys.
  • Conduct field data collection using GPS/GNSS, robotic total stations, data collectors, and other modern surveying equipment.
  • Perform construction layout and staking for site development and infrastructure projects.
  • Research deeds, plans, easements, property records, and other documents related to boundary determination.
  • Reduce and process field data and assist with the preparation of survey plans and deliverables.
  • Prepare or review survey drawings using AutoCAD, Civil 3D, and related surveying software.
  • Perform survey calculations, boundary analysis, and quality control of field and office data.
  • Coordinate with project managers, engineers, architects, contractors, and clients throughout the project lifecycle.
  • Maintain accurate field notes, records, and project documentation.
  • Assist with project planning, scheduling, and coordination of field crews as experience allows.
  • Ensure survey work meets applicable professional standards, project requirements, and client expectations.
Qualifications:
  • 4+ years of land surveying experience preferred; candidates with varying levels of experience will be considered.
  • Associate's or Bachelor's degree in Surveying, Civil Engineering, Geomatics, or a related field preferred.
  • Experience with boundary, topographic, construction, and/or existing conditions surveys.
  • Familiarity with GPS/GNSS equipment, robotic total stations, and electronic data collection.
  • Experience with AutoCAD and/or Civil 3D preferred.
  • Ability to interpret construction plans, engineering drawings, deeds, and survey plans.
  • Strong attention to detail, organization, and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with field and office teams.
  • Valid driver's license and ability to travel to project sites as needed.
  • LSIT or Professional Land Surveyor (PLS) licensure is a plus but not required, depending on experience level.

Pay Range: $25.00/hr. - $35.00/hr.
