Job summary

Psomas in Utah is seeking a Land Survey Intern to support the Survey & Geospatial team on field data processing, CAD drafting, research, and mapping. You will learn from experienced professionals and contribute to survey projects across the western U.S.

You'll gain hands-on experience with Civil 3D and MicroStation workflows, data organization, and documentation while developing practical surveying skills in a collaborative, ownership-driven environment.

Qualifications

• Current university student enrolled in Engineering or Surveying.
• Ability to work a minimum of 20 hours per week.
• Completion of Introductory and Advanced Plane Surveying courses.
• Completion of CAD fundamentals coursework or related.
• Familiarity with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation; proficiency with Word/Excel.

Responsibilities

• Support survey data processing and calculations.
• Assist CAD drafting and mapping using Civil 3D or MicroStation.
• Research deeds, analyze maps, and plot easements from deeds.
• Document project work and file field notes; provide day-to-day support.
