Job summary

Renaissance Infrastructure Consulting (RIC) seeks an experienced survey technician to produce survey drawings, legal descriptions, easement exhibits, and processed data from our in-house survey team. You will support registered land surveyors and civil engineers on infrastructure projects in a fast-paced environment.

Responsibilities include coordinating with survey crews, preparing boundary, ALTA, topo surveys using AutoCAD Civil 3D or MicroStation, and producing as-built surveys and easement

Qualifications

• 1-3 years’ experience in survey drafting with AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Able to work with internal teams and external clients.
• Organized, punctual, and capable of managing deadlines.
• Experience in engineering environment or related coursework preferred.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office.

• Prepare boundary, ALTA, topographic and other surveys using CAD software.
• Prepare as-built surveys and easement descriptions and exhibits.
• Coordinate with survey crew chief and land surveyors to meet deadlines.
• Draft survey data for project managers and maintain accuracy.

About the role

RIC is seeking an experienced survey technician to produce quality survey drawings, legal descriptions, easement exhibits, and process data collected by our in-house survey team. The ability to manage multiple projects on tight deadlines is required. The candidate will support our registered land surveyors and civil engineers on a variety of infrastructure projects. We are seeking an individual who shares our passion for a high-quality work product and enjoys a fast-paced work environment.

Primary Responsibilities

• Communicate with the land surveyor and/or survey crew chief before, during and after completion of field work.
• Utilize AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation to prepare boundary, ALTA, topographic and other surveys.
• Prepare as-built surveys.
• Prepare easement descriptions and exhibits.
• Work with land surveying crew to accurately draft survey data and project managers to meet required deadlines.

Requirements

• 1-3 years’ experience in survey drafting utilizing AutoCAD Civil 3D and/or MicroStation.
• Work effectively and professionally with internal team members and external client personnel.
• Organized and punctual.
• Ability to communicate effectively with multiple teams.
• Ability to prioritize project deadlines.
• Ability to multitask and thrive in a fast-paced work environment.
• Detail-oriented and self-motivated.
• Ability to work with little or no supervision.
• Experience in engineering environment or engineering and/or technical coursework preferred.
• Accurately represent survey data.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite software.
• Land survey experience required.
• Ability to remain in a stationary position approximately 50% of the day.

Education Requirements

• A high school diploma or equivalent and at least 2 years of experience.
• Training or coursework in a technical drafting or related field preferred.
